How It Works

EdgeAll has three distinct types of users.
  • Parent - Parent of the child/student
  • Child/Student - Child using EdgeAll to learn and practice
  • Mentor/Teacher - Someone helping the child

Following are the typical steps for the users of EdgeAll.

Steps for a parent

  • Register
    • Click on Register. As an alternate, you may receive an email requesting you to register from edgeAll.com on behalf of your child. This happens when your child attempts to register and is below 13 years of age. We do not allow children below 13 years of age to create their own login
  • Add A Child
    • Once registered, log in and click on My Students.
    • Click on Add A Child to add your child to edgeAll.com. You can add as many children as you want. Note down the login and password just created and give it to the child. Once the child gets the login information, the child can start using the web site.
    • Once the child is added, you can edit the child profile by clicking the child name on My Students page
  • Invite A Mentor
    • This is an optional step. If you want to invite a teacher or someone else as a mentor of your child, click on My Students menu option.
    • Click the child for whom you want to invite the mentor.
    • Click on Add button to invite a new mentor.
  • Create Goal for the Child
    • Click on My Students and, then, on Goals button next to the child. This will take you to the Goal Dash Board page. You can create simple goals on this page by clicking "created goal" button. If you want to create targeted goal, click "create targeted goal" button.
    • You can also create goals by clicking on Goals menu option. If you have more than one child, you should select the child from the drop down menu.
    • Another way to create goal is to click on Progress menu option and, then, click on the chapter name for which you want to create the goal. This planner tool gives you an overall view of the child progress.
  • Add Rewards to Goal
    • Select Goals from menu option and click on Assign Rewards button next to the goal for which you want to assign a reward.
    • Once there, you can assign any of the items from the wish list created by the child by selecting an item from the wishlist and clicking on Assign to assign the reward to the Goal.
    • You can also put your expectations from the goals at this time too.
  • View Overall Progress
    • You can view overall progress of the child by clicking on Progress. This shows the how many skills your child has successfully acquired. You can create new goals from here too.
    • Clicking on Detail Report provides you a very detailed progress report.
    • Clicking on Redo Topic List provides the list of suggested topics where the child has not done well and needs to redo those topics.
  • View Goal Progress
    • Click on Goals menu item.
    • Click on Progress button next to the goal you are interested in. This gives you the progress on the selected goal only.

Steps for a child/student

  • Register
    • If you are 13 years of age or above, click on Register. to create your login.
    • If you are below 13 years of age, you will be asked to provide email of your parent. You should remind your parent to create a login for you. Once your login is created, login to make sure it works.
  • Invite A Mentor
    • This is an optional step. You can invite someone to be your mentor if your parent has given you the permission to invite a mentor.
    • Click on My Mentors
    • Click on Add button to invite a new mentor.
  • My Mentors
    • Click on My Mentors to see all of your mentors. Your parent are always created as your mentor
  • Create Goal
    • You can create a goal by clicking on Goals menu item on the top. You can create simple goals on this page by clicking "created goal" button. If you want to create targeted goal, click "create targeted goal" button.
    • Another way to create a goal is to click on Progress and, then, click on the chapter name for which you want to create the goal. This planner tool gives you an overall view of the your progress.
  • Start Learning
    • Click on Goals menu item to see all of your goals.
    • Click on the play button new to the goal you want to learn.
    • You will see a list of video lessons, exercises and tests for you to learn from.
  • Create Wishlist
    • Select Wishlist from top menu.
    • You can search for rewards or add your own reward to the wish list.
    • You parent or mentor can assign rewards to your goals.
  • View Overall Progress
    • You can view your overall progress by clicking on Progress. This shows the how many skills you have successfully acquired. You can create new goals from here too.
    • Clicking on Detail Report provides you a very detailed progress report.
    • Clicking on Redo Topic List provides a list of suggested topics which you might want to do again.
  • View Goal Progress
    • Click on Goals menu item.
    • Click on Progress button next to the goal you are interested in. This gives you the progress on the selected goal only.

Steps for a mentor/teacher

  • Register
    • Click on Register to create your login.
    • Alternatively, you may get an email from edgeall.com on behalf of the parent inviting you to be the mentor of the child. Before you can become the mentor, you will have to register
  • My Students
    • Click on My Students to see all of your students.
    • Look at the status of all the students to see Pending and Accepted invitations.
  • Create My Classes
    • To organize all of your students, you can create classes. You place all students of a grade or of the same skill level in a class.
    • You create a set of goals for a class which get assigned to every student in the class.
    • Click on My Classes and, then, click Add A Class button.
    • Click on Goals button next to the class to see all the class goals.
    • Click on Add button to add more class goals.
    • Clicking on a goal will shows you all the students of the goal
    • It also shows the class level progress report.
  • Add Students To Class
    • Once a class is created, click View Students button next to it to see all the students in that class
    • Click on Add button to add more students to this class.
  • Create Goal For A Student
    • You can create a goal by clicking on Goals menu item on the top. You can create simple goals on this page by clicking "created goal" button. If you want to create targeted goal, click "create targeted goal" button.

    • You can also create goals by clicking on My Students and, then, clicking the goal button next to the selected student.

    • Click on Goals menu item.
    • Click on Progress button next to the goal you are interested in. This gives you the progress on the selected goal only.
  • Assign Reward
    • If you have been granted permission by the parent, you can assign rewards by clicking the Assign Reward button next to each goal.
    • You can assign items from child wish list or create a new item for reward.
